Fire carries so much meaning: transformation, purification, divine presence, the warmth of a hearth, and devastation.
In this generative workshop, we’ll look at fairy tales and myths that incorporate fire as an important symbolic motif. These ancient stories will offer us the opportunity to consider fire from many different perspectives.
Then, with prompts and exercises and a spirit of experimentation, we’ll begin our own stories, poems or essays centered around this necessary, powerful and mysterious element.
