The literary visionary Octavia E. Butler meticulously created new worlds, but she also painstakingly crafted herself into a writer. The Pasadena native and Altadena resident came of age in a

Lynell George, author of “A Handful of Earth, A Handful of Sky: The World of Octavia E. Butler" will be in conversation with Fin Lee discussing Butler’s winding path toward a writer’s life.
